What do y'all think of $uicideboy$, Bones, etc.
Curious as to what you guys think of artists likee $uicideboy$ and Bones and these guys that make this kind of music. Their numbers are crazy. every song with 2M+ .. almost every single song. It seems like despite their numbers, a lot of people are clueless to their existence... which makes absolutely no sense.
what do yall think of their musical contributions?
$$ & Bones visual aesthetics are super important to their brand. right now - their fans are the type of fans you aspire to have, as an artist. turnup by the hundreds to their shows, buy merch, keep their sc #'s rising.
I think it's awesome that artists like this can develop on their own terms, build a loyal following, and create a sustainable subculture. I think we'll see a lot more of this, because those types of fans enjoy being a part of something that feels impactful but underground at the same time.
Still making up my mind about the music.
I wanna like Bones so bad lmao but I just dont. Although the way Rocky reworked his song made it amazing.
@Rozay i was a HUGE bones fan a year ago. now i feel like he's just been stale. stale drop after stale drop. idk. but yeah rocky def flipped his joint and put him in front of an entire new audience.
still, hes last 6mo been stale af.
@Jacob yes. a sustainable subculture is definitely what they've created. its really amazing what these guys have done. it's so dope. personally, i love $$ but bones been kinda stale lately, imo. i guess its just a matter of time before they're picked up but it's crazy how they have so much buzz around them but remain subculture
Bones got some alright songs, i like when he screams lol but the fans are on some internet trendhopper shit...before bones they like young lean before that it was lil b...everyone i know who was on some bones shit a year ago is on some lil yachty shit now. Wack.
And im talking like their whole entire aesthetic lol
@no LMAO i do not agree... but i also do not disagree.
when i first heard bones, i became a fan lol.. when i first heard lean, i became a fan... when i heard yachty i became a fan.. haha was never really a lil b fan but still... i dont think its some trendhopping shit.. id say its just more people open to different kinds of music than whats thought of as "traditional hiphop."
